When I lived in Australia, Melbourne prices were just to high to go out and buy things so I was on Groupon like my life depended on it! Since we are always looking for the next adventure (whether the nearest coffee shop, or hiking in Southeast Asia), we love to be able to save but still not limit our selves.
We are going to show you 5 ways that you can use Groupon and Groupon Coupons to save money on your travels.
1. Use Groupon to Get Flight Deals!
Did you know Groupon has some awesome deals to travel both internationally and domestically? You can save literally thousands of dollars by booking with Groupon Getaways. Some can just be flights, some can be all inclusive hotels, and some can be flights and hotels! How about going to India for 9 days for $799, 8 days in South Africa with airfare, accommodation, meals, and even game drives for $1,599, or even a luxury spa and hotel in Palm Springs, CA for $89 a night? Not too bad, I say.
2. Use Groupon Coupons to save on Bookings
You’d be surprised, some of the most helpful sights for travel booking are available on Groupon Coupons! We found deals on hotel.com (like 40% off or one night free), deals on Hotwire.com (60% off a 3 star hotel, or 60% off rentals), or even some great deals on Travelocity.com (40% off flights, $25 your first hotel) and so much more. As budget travelers, we always try to find ways to save, so even saving a $1 can be a whole meal in certain countries! Thanks to Groupon Coupons we get to save heaps to further our spends on more travel.
3. Get some great travel accessories with Groupon and Groupon Coupons
Groupon offers deals on some of the best travel necessities you might need. Whether it’s electronics (cameras, powerbanks, etc) or travel bags and toiletry kits from Bloomingdales, Groupon will have what you need at a discounted price. One of our favorite buys from groupon was our powerbank and our camera. We SWEAR by powerbanks and found a great deal on Groupon for the one we still use!
4. Snatch some great local activity deals!
With the crazy exchange rate (at the time) in Melbourne, Groupon deals saved my experience. I used to not be able to go out for dinner (and forget about even getting a drink!!) when I was in Melbourne, but I would get 3 course meals and a drink for 2 for almost nothing, I also found brewery tours with 8 tastings and a meal for 2 for only $30, we even did a Tough Mudder deal in Melbourne!
Melbourne isn’t the only time we’ve used Groupon deals for meals and activities, we have used it in LA, Big Sur, and many other places! We highly recommend (especially if you are on a budget but want to enjoy what the cities offers) checking out local Groupon Deals!
5. Use Groupon Coupons to print your memories
Hey, I don’t know about you, but I take a lot of pictures on my travels and I absolutely hate when they just hang out on the interwebs. We usually print out (most) of our photos using Snapfish and even once made a photo book of our trip!! Snapfish allows you to print out your photos for so cheap on many different mediums (canvas, booklets, pillows…), and better yet, Groupon Coupons has a few deals for ya! Take the pics, get them printed, and decorate your house!
